No one can know that Catlyn Youngblood and Jesse Raven are in love. Jesse and his parents are vampires, and Cat and her brothers are vampire hunters. Over winter break Cat takes a job in town in order to see Jesse secretly and search through a mystical book collection for a solution to their problem.
